Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 5 May 2025

This policy explains what cookies are, how Octavia Forge uses them on this website, and the choices available to you. We aim to keep things clear and straightforward.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners about how visitors use a site.

Cookies are not programs — they cannot carry viruses or install software on your device. They simply store a small amount of text that the website can read on future visits.

Most web browsers accept cookies by default. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being placed. Doing so may affect some functions of this website.

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies Always Active

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They include session management and security-related cookies. Without them, services you have requested — such as navigating between pages — cannot be provided.

Duration: Session / up to 1 year

Analytics Cookies Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website — for example, which pages are visited most often and how long visitors stay. This information is used in aggregate form to improve the site.

Example: Google Analytics  ·  Duration: up to 2 years

Marketing Cookies Optional

These cookies may be used to serve content and messages that are more relevant to your interests. They may also be used by advertising networks to track browsing behaviour across websites.

Example: Advertising networks  ·  Duration: up to 1 year

Preference Cookies Optional

These cookies remember settings and choices you make — such as your preferred language or region — so we can provide a more personalised experience on return visits.

Example: Language preference  ·  Duration: up to 1 year

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on this website are placed by third-party services. These services have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review.

  • Google Analytics: Used to analyse aggregate site usage. Google's data practices are described at policies.google.com.
  • Google Maps: An embedded map on our main page may set cookies relating to your interaction with the map widget.

We do not control the cookies set by third-party providers and are not responsible for their content or data practices.

4. Cookie Duration

Session Cookies

These exist only while your browser is open. They are deleted automatically when you close the browser tab or window.

Persistent Cookies

These remain on your device for a set period — typically between 30 days and 2 years — or until you delete them manually.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Below are guides for the most common browsers. Note that blocking all cookies may affect the way some pages on this site display or function.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia, you have the right to understand what personal data is collected about you and to request access to that data. Cookies may collect or transmit certain identifiers that constitute personal data under the PDPA.

You can withdraw or adjust your consent to optional cookies at any time using the toggles in Section 2 above, or by adjusting your browser settings as described in Section 5.

Please note that disabling optional cookies will not affect the core functionality of this website, though some features — such as personalised settings — may not be available.

If you have questions about how we handle your data, or wish to make a data-related request, please contact us at [email protected].
